Honeymoon,Samui Day 8
This morning, the ocean, the air and even the people here is very nice, but need to go back to our reality. When Jim's checking out, we just realize hotel has free shuttle to get us to airport (save us about 800 Thai). After checking in the luggages, we check out the restaurant across the airport. But the rice noodle soup is just soso. We decide to check in and wait inside. There a courtesy food counter and we have the best Thai iced tea at airport. Jim drinks three glasses and I have one. It tastes so good… We would highly recommend friends to check out Samui if you like beach and sunlight. One thing to mention, shopping and eating in Samui is quite expensive compare to Thailand/Bangkok. Taxi is way expensive, so remember to ask your travel agent to have transportation service. Also, if you book the hotel room thru travel agent, make sure the breakfast is included, b/c it's usually cost about 600-800 Thai per person. Well, goodbye Samui.. we'll back..

Honeymoon,Samui Day 7
No need to wake up early this morning but still get up around 9:30. We decide to go kayaking to the "flow stand" and back to the beach and kick it a bit before we have breakfast. Jim never had kayaking before and it's been awhile for me. But I'm very excited. Our destination is about 200m far from the beach… the drive isn't too bad, got there and we parked our little kayak boat and took a pic with Le Loyal as our background. Got back to the beach and kick it for awhile and decide to check out the pool. Not many people at the pool, actually only one couple kicking there.. so we swim awhile and decide to go have a late breakfast. This time the breakfast is much better than yesterday (don't know why.. maybe b/c we are hungry) After breakfast we go back to our room and decide to kick it at our room today. Check out the spa but it all booked for today (damn… I guess all the hotel guests are too bored and too stuck in this hotel and they all come to the spa for treatment, in fact, the spa is pretty expensive…) We took the sun bed pad and lay between the balcony and our room, so we have the a/c air and the ocean nature air. Well, the good time didn't last long though, b/c the a/c break down and the front desk says it's gonna take about 1 hour to fix it. Frankly, this is the first time in my life that I stay in a hotel and the a/c broke. Well, it's too hot in the room, so we decide to go to the prier instead. Jim takes a quick shower, but the water pipe breaks, yeah, that's what I'm saying the hotel facility is old. We then went to Nathon pier and found a local Thai massage shop. Jim tried the Thai traditional massage, and I got the Thai hot herbal compress massage. The massage is very comfortable and relax. All my spinal cord is stretched and it feels so good. An hour of massage gone so fast, and we looked around Nathon and it's time for dinner. Everything looks so good, that we try almost everything until we can't move anymore. We also went back to the mango stand, and got 2kg of mango togo. While we're waiting for the mango, there's a guy (we think he's processing to transsexual). He is very shy and very girly. So I take a pic with him. I think he's around 16. After that the hotel van picked us up. Tonight is our last night in Samai. Time flies by and our 8 days 7 nights' honey mood trip is almost finished. Start to pack up everything and need to sleep early, b/c we have to check out by 6:40am for our flight back to HK at 8:40am.

Honeymoon,Samui Day 6
Wake up early and excited to check out the breakfast in Le Loyal but very disappointed (if we haven't have Renaissance's breakfast for the past couple days, maybe this is good enough).. but the food is just not fresh enough. Don't know what to eat and don't want to eat, so decide to wait for the tour pickup instead. The drive to the pier is only 15 min from our hotel. Once we get there pay and get into a ferry boat that sits around 50 people. The drive is about 1-1/2 hour to get to the Ang Thong main island. We stay there for 1-1/2 hour (we can go climb up the mountain, the walk is about 1km, but we climb up at the 100m view point and decide not go up cos we're too exhausting. After we climb back down to the ground, it took us 25 min (yeah.. it's just 200 M up and down)… then we decide to kick it at the beach. I got sea sick and can't really move or enjoy the moment.. just aging about the seasick.. wait for the boat to pick us up… Finally the boat is here and I take a sea sick pill right away hope I'll get better. Lunch is serve on the boat, the curry chicken is not bad.. but the portion is little bit small. After lunch, we arrive at the 2nd island. This time we stay here for another 1-1/2 hour and we decide to climb up to the sight-seeing point to check out the lake. The walk, well, actually should be the climbing.. cos we need to pass through a slippery limestone and climb more than 200 stairs to get to the peak. But all the sweat is worth, the view is really in describable… the lake is kind of like a heart-shaped lake. It's really peaceful and quiet. Then we went back to the boat and finish our trip. We found out there's a street food market next to the pier and decide to check that out later tonight. Got back to hotel and took a shower, then we hired a taxi to the Nathon pier for dinner. The owner of this thai restaurant is actually the same owner of our island tour today. The food is so so, but very very spicy… to the point my lips expand twice the size…. like a sausage.. haha.. after that we checked out the night street food market and regret that we should just eat here instead of eating at the restaurant. But too full right now, so we only got a box of mango sticky rice. Mango is soooo sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet don't know how to describe.. but it's unforgettable sweet…

Honeymoon,Samui Day 5
Wake up early this morning and have our last breakfast at Renaissance. The breakfast still tastes so good. Today we reserve a van for island tour with the elephant tracking. Yeah… sitting on a elephant.. sounds really exciting… The driver takes us to the elephant tracking place first (cos it's 10:30 already, we afraid it's gonna be very sunny later on, so decide to go now). We decided it's gonna be tooo long to sit on an elephant's back, so we take the ½ hour track. We need to climb up a little tree house and wait for the elephant comes to pick us up. As it's approaching us, my heartbeat pounds faster and faster… it's like one story high to sit on the elephant's back., but we already paid for it.. so got to get our ass sit on it. Tell you the truth, the whole experience is more like nervous than having fun. Cos we are tracking on its back and there's really not much to see around (even though there's a zoo next to us, but we can only see some deer, monkeys, and crocodiles). After the elephant tracking we go to the one of the waterfall in Koh Samui. Don't expect too much, cos it's only like 5-6 story high waterfall. Well, the next destination may sounds a bit weird to some of u, cos we go check out their local supermarket (Lotus). Tell u the truth, I think every time I visit a new country, I must check out their supermarket, u can discover a lot of interesting food there and get a better price too. So, we buy a lot of snack, fish can, fruits, and the tom yum soup base. The price is so cheap too, very satisfy. Next, we go check out the Grandpa and Grandma's rock. Well, look at the pics itself can totally tell what it looks like. But it's all naturally formed, it's pretty interesting… huh… Yeah.. it's 3 already, and we finally go to have our lunch. This restaurant is recommend by today's driver… the food is sooo good and the price is really reasonable. Especially the food is really authentic and the seafood is so fresh and cheap. We also take out a box of fried rice and fried noodle for our dinner. Today's our final destination is our hotel Le Loyal at Nan Taling Ngam. It locates inside a mountain and the drive from Lamai beach to the hotel is about 40 mins. Once we arrive the hotel, the view is speechless. Nothing block the ocean view and the location is very private. Welcome by the cool refreshing towel with a cool coconut.. (yummy)… check out the oceanfront deluxe room. Hm… the view is perfect, but the room is kind of err… disappointing. Its decoration and the facility is pretty old (u will find out more what happen two days later). Anyways, can't wait to check out the hotel and decide to check out the beach. Hotel has transport transfer from lobby to the beach by golf cart. The beach is on west side and it's perfect to see sunset. There's a pool next to the beach and it's really relaxing too. There are couples beach front villa locates downhill. But it's really costly… Get back to the room and start enjoying the fried rice and noodle and the fresh fruit we get from this afternoon. Need to prepare for tomorrow's island tour. Went to sleep early cos we need to wake up at 6:30.

Honeymoon,Samui Day 4
Get up pretty early, getting fully rested and go to swim at the pool. The water is not very clean, so just swim for awhile and decide to eat breakfast. Just find out the bread is soooo good. I eat a lot to the point I can't eat anymore. Then go back to the pool, this time we move to the beach and it's just so relaxing. We lay down for so long and then go back to villa and kick it at the pool again. This time, I lay down and fall to sleep. Just don't want to move. Then it's 1pm already, we take the clothes to laundry. The sun is damn hot. The laundry place has a little girl and she is so cute. Go back to hotel, this time we made instant noodle for lunch. Even the instant noodle taste so good. Rest awhile, and head to Lamai beach. Lamai beach actually is very close to our hotel. The drive is around 8mins. Lamai beach is quite disappointing. Nothing there and not many people. Shop around and go into a Billboard surf club bar and get a ice-cold beer. So refreshing. After that, we go to Sala Thai restaurant which recommended by a local taxi driver. The food is not even taste good as in everywhere else than Thailand. We decide not to eat so full so we have space to try out the street food. The rice noodle soap is ok. But the morning glory (fried vegetable) is sooo good and fresh and the most important it's cheap too. After that, well, there's really not much to shop in Lamai, so go back to hotel. We can hear loud music outside and inside our villa, so decide to check that out. But found out that the music is from Lamai beach.. (Jim and I is skeptical about that).. so instead check out the bar. The margarita is so good, I think I can drink up the whole jar (yeah anyone knows me I'm hardcore), but I drink two glasses only, very in control. Back to room and have a goodnite sleep.

Honeymoon,Samui Day 3
Woke up really early this morning, b/c we are going to Koh Tao. The ride is about an hour from the hotel to the port, then its another 1 hour and 30min from Samui to Koh Tao. We arrived Koh Tao around 10 a.m. We went to snorkeling; there are tons of fish swimming around us. We swim around the rock and the coral is even prettier. Ohh… we see there is one scene that just like the movie “Finding Nemo” the fish swim in a big giant circle..so cute and amazing. Got back on the boat and greeted by fresh cool water and coke. Then we went to another island for lunch, the food was ok… then went to another island – Koh NanYuang. This is the two islands connected by a white sand beach. The island has a name “crystal clear water”. The water is so clear, but there is not much to see though. We decided to climb the view point up the mountain. It’s a great workout for us. When we got to the peak point, we sweat like rain. I never sweat like this, but the view is so great its worth the climbing. After coming back to Samui, we decided to go to Chaweng beach instead of hotel. We pick a local restaurant and the food is actually really awesome besides the a lot of flies). We order to go too and just in case we got hungry later. We took the local bus back to the hotel and its really fun. I like the exploring part, its so exciting. Back to the hotel, put on a mask to moisture our face right away. Before bed, of course we finished all the food. Went to bed at 9:30….too tired…. Getting old…..

Honeymoon,Samui Day 2
Woke up by the bird sings, just can't complaint… the morning air is breeze.. got to put a little bit more make-up be my Baby's special model today. Took lots of pictures, and went to eat breakfast. Food is so fresh, most importantly; it's just so relaxing….to the max. I think Baby ate 4 plates… he say he can keep eating for the whole day. Lunch at hotel, the food is so good. Coconut is fresh and the Pha Thai just outstanding. After lunch, we went to Chaweng Beach. Chaweng Stress during afternoon is kind of dead and hot. Need to find out the Four Season Spa, actually its just located near the McDonald. Yeah, they have McDonald in Samui, hmmm…… but didn't see KFC. The spa is two parts, first with Thai herb body scrub, then aroma massage, we both fall asleep during the massage. After a wonderful massage, feeling hungry again, try to find Baan Thai restaurant recommended by the hotel driver. The tiger shrimp is great, not the oyster though. I just eat one and gave up. Baby needs to finish the rest of them. One thing we discover that Bann Thai is mainly serving tourist, which are mostly Asian. Pricey, the dinner itself is about 1800 Baht. After dinner, shop around again and went home with hotel bus.

Honeymoon,Samui Day 1
Hong Kong (rain) ; Samui (sunny) Flight was delayed for half an hour, but it didn't affect our mood at all. We first had brunch at the HK airport then check in our two luggage. After check in, I went to buy my cosmetic stuff, yeah =), I got almost everything I planned to get, then we shopped for mothers' day gift. We also got 2 bottle of red wine, gonna send it all in Samui. The flight is not full and its clean and comfortable. The pillow case has a blue flower pattern on it, so tropical. Lunch is alright, Baby had chicken fried rice, it didn’t have much flavor, I had fried pork noodle, yummy yummy! I finished the whole thing. Baby still doesn’t know about the dinner arrangement, hope he'll like it. Once we arrived at the airport, we can smell the coconut already. Hotel pick up was great; they gave us a cold lemon taste towel. It's so cool and refreshing. The whole island is filled with palm trees. Renaissance resort and spa is quite, different than the Bali villas we stayed last time, this one has one floor and the pool is not as private and big as last time, but inside the villa is very nice, the mint aroma smell is refreshing, the soft music takes away all the stress, we also got a love shaped towel on our bed for our honeymoon, they are so sweet. After taking a quick shower, we checked out the beach, the beach is a little bit disappointing but the sand is so soft that none of the sand sticks on our feet. Then we went to our dinner, (Baby’s surprise dinner arrangement) the whole atmosphere is just speechless, so romantic and private. The food is awesome and no complaint, portion is big and we can’t even finish the main dish, the fruits is so fresh and juicy, especially the grapefruits, OMG.. The red wine we got from the airport is smooth, I don't know, everything just taste the best here in Samui.
